Read more about what the Correctional Medical Authority (CMA) does and why it matters that we do it well.
The CMA advises the state’s Secretary of Corrections on the health services plan for the Florida Dept. of Corrections.
The CMA reports to the Governor and Legislature on the health care delivery status at the Florida Dept. of Corrections.
The CMA conducts surveys of the physical and mental health services at each correctional institution every three years.
We monitor corrective actions taken to address survey findings. We report serious deficiencies to the Secretary of Corrections.
